Introduction

The Waray Language is spoken by the people of Tacloban City and towns of Nothern Leyte province and in the towns of Samar and Eastern Samar provinces.  There is a slight difference in the waray language usage by those in Leyte and Samar islands, but these can be negligible. They understand and communicate with one another perfectly. The difference is more noticeable in the accent.

This site is dedicated in introducing the Waray Language to the world. The versions that will be published here will be the one used in Tacloban City and Leyte.

We will be featuring lessons on language usage, prayers, songs and information about the people using the Waray language.
